AI Agents and Automation Courses in Barcelona

Choose the right AI path for your goals — automate your work, build business systems without coding, or become an AI engineer. Running a company? The EU AI Act now legally requires you to train your staff.

The quick answer

Which AI automation course is right for you?

Choose the AI Agent & Automation Engineering Bootcamp for a no-code career path building production AI agents; Deep Learning and AI Engineering for ML models; or Work automation with AI Agents for a short practical introduction. If you are answering for a company rather than for yourself, start somewhere else: the EU AI Act Compliance Training is not a choice but an obligation under Article 4.

EU AI Act Article 4 compliance training for companies at Barcelona Code School

Required by law

EU AI Act Compliance Training (Article 4)

AI literacy training the law requires your staff to have.

Article 4 of the EU AI Act has been directly applicable since 2 February 2025. Every company whose staff uses AI at work - including everyday tools like ChatGPT or Copilot - must provide documented, role-proportional AI literacy training. There is no company-size threshold and no opt-out.

If someone on your team has opened ChatGPT for work, this applies to you.

Companies and their employees - any organisation whose staff uses AI at work

  • Article 4
  • AESIA readiness
  • AI usage policy
  • AI-systems inventory

You leave with: every participant trained, plus the four-document Article 4 evidence pack — certificate and attendance record, AI usage policy template, and AI-systems inventory. This is what an AESIA inspection asks for.

Compare AI courses

Compare the audience, coding level, tools and outcomes for each course. The last row is the odd one out on purpose: it is the training the EU AI Act requires of companies, not a career path.

Still deciding?

The simplest way to separate the four

Think about the layer of AI you want to work on, from using existing tools to engineering the intelligence underneath them. The fourth is not a layer at all: it is what the law requires of a company.

  1. 01
    Improve how you work

Use existing AI tools and agents to remove repetitive tasks from your own day.

  2. 02
Engineer AI agents for a business

Connect no-code agents, workflows, data and approvals into systems that run whole departments.

  3. 03
Build AI systems from the foundations

Learn machine learning, deep learning and modern LLM engineering as one broad discipline.

  4. 04
    Meet your legal obligation

Not a career step but a company duty: if your staff uses AI at work, Article 4 of the EU AI Act requires you to provide documented AI literacy training.

Course questions

AI courses FAQ

Quick answers to help you choose the right level, tools and learning format.

What AI courses are available at Barcelona Code School?

Barcelona Code School offers three practical AI learning paths - Work Automation with AI Agents, the AI Agent & Automation Engineering Bootcamp, and the Deep Learning and AI Engineering Bootcamp - ranging from an eight-hour introduction to career-focused engineering programmes. Separately, for companies rather than individuals, it delivers the EU AI Act Compliance Training that Article 4 legally requires of any organisation whose staff uses AI at work.

What is the best AI course for building AI agents without coding?

The AI Agent & Automation Engineering Bootcamp is the most complete no-code path. In four weeks you build a portfolio-ready Virtual AI Department that connects agents, company data, approvals, monitoring, reports and proposals.

Which course teaches AI agents with n8n?

The AI Agent & Automation Engineering Bootcamp uses n8n as its main automation platform, alongside Airtable, Supabase, Telegram and RAG. Work automation with AI Agents also introduces n8n in a shorter, practical format.

What is the difference between the AI Agent & Automation Engineering Bootcamp and Work automation with AI Agents?

The AI Agent & Automation Engineering Bootcamp is a four-week, full-time career programme where you design and ship connected agent systems for a business. Work automation with AI Agents is an eight-hour introduction focused on automating your own routine tasks.

Which AI course includes a portfolio and career support?

The AI Agent & Automation Engineering Bootcamp combines a four-week Virtual AI Department portfolio with career support for roles in AI automation and implementation. The Deep Learning and AI Engineering path also produces technical portfolio projects for its career track.

Can I study remotely?

Yes. The AI Agent & Automation Engineering Bootcamp and Work automation with AI Agents can be joined remotely in live sessions, and the Deep Learning and AI Engineering path is online.

Which course is suitable for beginners?

Work automation with AI Agents is the shortest beginner-friendly introduction. The AI Agent & Automation Engineering Bootcamp is also suitable for career changers and confident computer users because no coding is required. The Deep Learning path requires more programming preparation.

Are the AI courses taught in English?

Yes. All three AI courses are taught in English. The live courses can be attended on campus in Barcelona or remotely, while the Deep Learning and AI Engineering Bootcamp is delivered online.

How much do the AI courses cost?

Work Automation with AI Agents costs 490€. The AI Agent & Automation Engineering Bootcamp costs 3,600€. Deep Learning and AI Engineering costs 3,950€. The EU AI Act Compliance Training is 220€ per seat in the open cohort, with a quote for in-company groups.

Is AI training legally required for companies in the EU?

Yes. Article 4 of the EU AI Act has been directly applicable across the EU since 2 February 2025. It applies to every company whose staff uses AI systems at work, including everyday tools like ChatGPT or Copilot, with no company-size threshold and no opt-out. The obligation is to ensure documented, role-proportional AI literacy for your people. Our EU AI Act Compliance Training is the course that meets it - it is a company obligation rather than a career path, which is why it sits apart from the three learning routes above.

What happens on 2 August 2026?

AESIA, Spain's AI supervision agency, acquires full powers to inspect companies, demand evidence of AI literacy and impose sanctions. The obligation already exists; from that date it is actively enforced. Companies that can show a training plan, attendance records and an AI-systems inventory are the ones prepared for an inspection.

Which course does my company need for EU AI Act compliance?

The EU AI Act Compliance Training (Article 4). It runs four hours, on campus in Barcelona, at your offices or remote live, and costs 220€ per seat in the open cohort, with quotes for in-company groups. Every participant is trained and the company receives the four-document evidence pack: certificate and attendance record, AI usage policy template, and AI-systems inventory. It is also eligible for FUNDAE funding. The other three AI courses build skills and careers; they do not by themselves discharge the Article 4 obligation.

Is there an official EU AI Act certification?

No. Per the European Commission's November 2025 FAQ, no official certification exists or is required. The law works on proportionality: what counts is documented, role-proportional training plus evidence - an inventory of AI systems, a training plan, attendance records and periodic review. Be cautious of providers selling an official certificate, because it does not exist.
